i) Hydroxide ions (OH-) migrate to the anode. OH- are discharged to form oxygen according to the equation below

$4OH_{(aq)}^- \rightarrow 2H_2O_{(l)} + O_{2(g)} + 4e^-$

ii) Copper anode would dissolve to give copper ions (CU2+)
