Maurice
Administrative tribunals are bodies created by statute to determine certain types of
disputes.

They supplement ordinary courts in the administration of justice.

These tribunals are guided by the principles of natural justice.

A decision of the tribunal may be appealed against or be challenged in the High court.
Examples include Insurance Appeals Tribunal, Capital Markets Tribunal, Co-operative
societies tribunal, University senate.

These tribunals exercise quasi judicial functions.
