(a) Simplex is a mode of data transmission in which data signals are communicated in one direction only. Examples include TV transmission and Radio.

(b) Half duplex is communication mode in which data signals are communicated in both directions but one side at a time. For example, walkie talkie.

Full duplex allows transmission of signals in both directions simultaneously for example telephony services through your cell phone.

(c) Duplex refers to communication of data signals in both directions simultaneously. For example, a computer.
