4. Promotes product by communicating features i.e. adds value to the brand in promoting product. Marketers use colors , size ,shapes , graphics and typefaces to distinguish their products or brands, from those of the competitors
5. Develop reusable package for alternative use to increase consumer utility e.g. resusable bottles.
6. Segmentation, tailored to a specific group
7. Packaging can help to establish a common identity for a group of products-sold under one brand name for the purpose of improving consistency by creating a uniform look for all of the products
