(iii) The agency has faced ignorance from the public with majority viewing it as irrelevant.

(iv) The agency faces both internal and external challenges like drug trafficking and cyber crimes.

(v) The officers need to be trained frequently in order to keep pace of changes in crime activities.

(vi) There is lack of accountability as the agency is not guided like other state bodies due to the nature of its work.

(vii)Since the body is funded by the government,it lacks complete autonomy.

(viii) Lack of trust from the public who are reluctant to provide information.

(ix) Lack of advanced technology may aid state enemies in obtaining confidential information unlawfully.
