(iii) Huge sums of money was spent on war-related equipment,food and other materials.

(iv) Destruction of property and infrastructure like roads,bridges and factories.

(v) Led to starvation due to food shortages in some countries.

(vi) Led to outbreak of epidemics like Pneumonia, STDs and Spanish Influenza.

(vii) Led to refugee situation after majority of people were displaced and rendered homeless.
