Question: Outline St. Paul's teachings on Christian giving

Paul’s teaching on giving mainly is a reference of the Old Testament scripture.

Giving to ministers of the word
On giving to the ministers of the word, Paul taught that God ordained that those who minister holy things live of the things of the temple, hence whoever is taught in the word should also communicate in carnal things.

How to give
Paul also taught that one should give according to the level God had prospered him, for whatsoever a man sows that shall he also reap and whosoever sows sparingly shall also reap sparingly but he who sows bountifully shall also reap bountifully.
Paul taught that the attitude of the giver should be a cheerful one for that is what God loves and God is also able to make all grace abound that the giver may have all sufficiency in all things that he may abound in all good work.

Equal supply
Referring to the way God provided manna in exodus 16:18, Paul encourages equality, so that those with abundance supply those that lack.

Reward
Paul refers to the scripture that states that that the righteousness of one who gives to the poor remains forever hence Christians should not be weary of well doing and should use every opportunity to do good for they shall receive a reward.

Widows and giving
Of widows Paul states that giving is one of the mark of a respectable widow.
And on those who neglect those of their own household Paul states that one who does not give those of his house hold is worse than an infidel.
