(ii) The EAC promotes trade by encouraging citizens to conduct trade in all countries.

(iii) Movement across the borders has been made possible due to opening of borders and the introduction of the East African passports.

(iv) The civil society is co-operating with a view of enhancing its role in different fields like The Business Council of East Africa and Law Society of East Africa.

(v) Several categories of persons like business people and farmers are now able to interact more easily within the community.
