Celebrating Jesus’ birth is not complete without Christmas songs, and performances that recite the story of Jesus, beginning from the prophecies concerning Him, to the time of His birth.

-His lineage,
-Circumstances surrounding His birth.
-Response of those ancient wise men who recognized who He was.
Normally a good virtue exhibited arouses a desire in the observer or recipient of the benefits inherent in that virtue to produce the same virtue.
The performances comprising Jesus’ birth celebrations force a reflection on the reason for Jesus’ birth, as well as evaluation of virtues in personalities involved. These contribute much to shaping the Christians’ own virtues.
Love for one another
The birth of Jesus symbolizes the sacrificial love of God. This is known in the bible as agape. Love that does not expect a return. A self giving love. This arouses a desire to love in the Christian.
The wise men brought gifts of great worth to the baby Jesus. This is a deed Christians endeavor to imitate through sharing gifts with the less fortunate. Practice makes perfect, so the saying goes. These actions of sharing promote love for one another.
Intergrity
The prophecies and their execution reveal God’s faithfulness. This inspires integrity in the Christian, for what God promised He performed.
Modesty
Jesus’ lineage included people from all status. This fact persuades the Christian to place a value on everyone, for everyone has potential for greatness.
Search for Knowledge
There was no place found for the creator of the world to be born. These circumstances surrounding Jesus’ birth encourage a search for knowledge of God and an alertness to God’s timing.
