1. The league of nations worked closely with the Versailles peace treaty, a move that made the world to believe that it was to benefit the allies.

2. The rejection of USA to join the league was a bug blow to its existence and operations.

3. The membership of the league was not comprehensive enough.

4. The conference of ambassadors based in pairs and which was meant to operate until the league's machinery became functional, continued to frustrate the league work.

5. Most of the countries were held back by timidity, routine and prejudice.

6. Re perpetual shortage of finances made it difficult for the league to effectively implement its programs.

7. The league did not have a military wing or a standing army.

8. The conquest for colonies and markets by the Europeans countries conflicted with the interest of the league, especially that of maintaining peace and security.
