First as we know that fold mountains are formed majorly due to compression forces through which the earth's plates are subjected to. when these plates are compressed together, the pressure increases in them leading to increase in temperature thus melting of earth's interior rocks. when these rocks melt, they form hot liquid magma which is confined at one region. when compression forces intensify, the molten magma tries to find its ways out to regions of low pressure making the to rise up through fissures and vents leading to formation of volcanoes. this process is continuous over time leading to frequent eruptions.
