Volcanic rocks are formed through a volcanic eruption.
When rocks under the surface of earth heat up due to high temperatures, they form a liquid know as magma, which bursts as a result of the increased pressure underneath. The magma then cools and solidifies on the earth's surface to form volcanic mountains(rocks).
Volcanic rocks include;Pumice,Scoria,Andesite,Basalt,Phonolite,Obsidian,Tephrite,Rhyorite and Tryachite.
