Peer teaching has vast benefits to preschool children. First, peer teaching contributes greatly to the psychology of the children, this is because when a fellow child teach the rest of the classroom, it alleviates fear and the children will be more comfortable and easily relate to what is being taught. Activities like dancing, singing, and playing can easily be lead by a fellow child, and since other children can easily conform to the act without fear , this can positively contribute to their mental health. Direct interaction between children promotes active learning, this is because the kids will be more curious on what their peer want to teach as opposed to what their teacher normally teach. The children will also benefit from deep understanding of the subject at hand because peers and children share a common discourse. Peer teaching give children more room for individualised learning, the children will benefit from the freedom allocated to them to ask questions and engage each other, hence enhancing their mental prowess. The kids will have more team-building spirit , allowing them to learn and benefit from each one's skills.Peer tutoring provides an environment where learners can get immediate feedback on their progress, this results in high academic achievement for most kids. The kids will easily develop a personal relationship with their peer tutor, this help to build their self-confidence which can be reflected in their high academic achievement.
