First visit-takes place between 8-12 weeks;the pregnancy and the expected delivery date(EDD) is confirmed after which the woman is classified for antenatal care (ANC) or more specialized care.Screening and treatment is done where preventive measures are also given i.e the women are given mosquito nets.There's development of a birth and emergency plan after which advice and counsel is given.Second visit-takes place between 24-26 weeks;maternal and fetal well-being is assessed except for PIH and anemia,preventive measures are given,the birth and emergency plan is reviewed and modified after which advice and counsel is given.Third visit-takes place after 32 weeks;the maternal and fetal well-being is assessed except for PIH,anemia and multiple pregnancies and preventive measures given,the birth and emergency plan is reviewed and modified after which advice and counsel is given.Fourth visit-takes place in the 36-38 weeks of pregnancy;maternal and fetal well-being is assessed except for PIH,anemia,multiple pregnancy and malpresentations before preventive measures are given,the birth and emergency plan is reviewed and modified after which advice and counsel is given.
