Assuming the second girl overtakes the first girl at distance x;

therefore at x, Second girl covers x metres at 12m/s,
Distance= xm
Speed= 12m/s
Time= Distance/Speed
= xm/12m/s
=(x/12)s

After (x/12) seconds, First will cover (x-15)m at 8m/s,
therefore;
Distance= (x-15)m
Speed= 8m/s
Time= (x/12)s

but Distance= Speed*Time
(x-15)m= 8m/s*(x/12)s
12x-180= 8x
12x-8x= 180
4x= 180
x= 45
x= 45m.
The second girl will overtake the first girl at 45m.
