Amount of each brand of fuel sold

Petrol = 2x

Diesel = x

3x = 600 000 (litres)

x = 200 000(diesel)

2x (petrol) = 400 000

Dealer's gain in diesel

$\frac{200 000}{1 000}$ x 380 = sh 76 000

Dealer's gain in petrol

$\frac{400 000}{1 000}$ x 450 = sh 180 000

Dealer's gain was

= 76 000 + 180 000 = sh 256 000
