1. Kabaka Mwanga was inconsistent and incompetent in policy making.
2. There were religious conflicts between the Christians, Muslims and traditionalist all who were competing for influence at the Kabaka’s court.
3. The authority of the kabaka was undermined by the Christians court officials.
4. The kingdom came under British control after Anglo-Buganda agreement.
5. Daudi Chwa being an infant could not exert his authority as king hence the kingdom was managed by the court officials collaborating with British.
