Four people Jane, Mary, Calley and David are business partners. They share profit made as follows: Mary gets twice as much as Calley. Jane gets sh 1 200 more than Calley. During a given period they made a profit of sh 89 200. Determine the share of Calley.

Answers

John
Let Jane have x, then

Mary has 2x

David has 12x + 1 200

Calley has 12x,

x + 2x + 12x + 12x + 1 200 is

4x + 1 200 = 89 200

4x = 88 000; x = 22 000

Calley's share was

12 x 22 000 = sh 11 000
