Substitute x = 2 in the two equations
2 + y - z = - 1
y - z = -3
2 - 2y + z = -7
-2y + z = -9
Add the resulting equations to have
-y = -3 - 9;
-y = -12
y = 12
Substitute y = 12 in either of the two equations
12 - z = -3
-z = -3 - 12
-z = -15;
z = 15
