Gentle slopes encourage the formation of deep and fertile soils due to deposition accumulation of materials. Steep slopes encourage erosion of the top layer of soil thus slowing down formation of soil.s Flat/flood plains are saturated with water therefore slows down forming process. Slope influences arrangement of soil. Steep slopes are more exposed to the sun/rain which influence weathering of parent rock.
