Describe how continuous application of fertilizer on farm lands causes soil erosion.

Continuous application of fertilizer increases the acidity of the soil. The acidity destroys the micro-organisms or bacteria in the soil which could have helped in the formation of humus which binds soil particles. Acidic soils are unsuitable for a variety of crops which would protect the soil from erosion.
