Answers

Jim
-Presence of vegetation; this favors parabolic dunes occurrence.
-The rate of sand supply; depending on the amount of sand supplied there may occur longitudinal dunes/barchans or transverse barchans/dunes.Transverse results due to large sand supply while, longitudinal barchans results due to large sand supply.
-Wind; this results to either barchan or star dunes where the barchan results due to unidirectional wind.
-Flash floods; leads to creation of faster moving but short lived streams with eroded steep sided canyons that deposit alluvial fans mainly in flat areas where many alluvial fans coalesce.
