-Impact on human health due to frequent use of the control mechanisms like drugs put human life at risk of taking some contaminating products ie; meat contaminated with acaricides and anthelmintics. The affect the well-being of man.
-Intestinal flagellates suck nutrients and blood from the animal causing Anaemia. In the intestine, the microorganisms suck blood depriving the animals of nutrients that they need for growth.
-Competition for nutrients by the host especially in the case of nematodes.The nematode suck nutrients consumed by the animal and eventually depriving them of necessary nutrients for the development of body. -The products produced are of low quality.
-The disease causes reduction in reproduction. For instance, the effect of Nagana will be make the animal fail to conceive at the right time. This makes them not reproduce as fast as needed and hence high cost of management.
