Cryptography is a field of study that deals with security of communication channels, including accessibility of information, integrity of information and authentication of both sender and receiver of information.

In computing, cryptography deals with limiting access to information through encryption and decryption of data, verifying integrity of information by using various hash functions(mathematical formulas that generate a unique output for every unique input fed in) and digital fingerprints and certificates.
