-Nephron is classified into two as follows:
a)renal corpuscle and
b)renal tubule
-The main components of this sections are as discussed below;
-loop of Henle- Composed of both ascending and descending sections of tube of henle that conserves water, organic nutrients and salts.
-Bowman's capsule-is known as the epithelial layer which mainly surrounds the glomerulus.
-Collecting duct- Returns water to the bloodstream from the filtrate.
-Proximal convoluted tubule- is a nephron tubule where blood flows through, re-absorption of ions, sodium chloride and water takes place.Is the first section of the renal tubule.
-Distal convoluted tubule-This is a section of the nephron where secretion and selective reabsorption takes place and also regulates absorption of water and sodium ions. This section occurs between the collecting duct and loop of henle.
