Betrayal is a deliberate attempt of doing something that will hurt other people's feelings,beliefs and trust. Imbuga's play explores betrayal at different levels thereby injuring people's feelings,beliefs and trust as illustrated below.

Betrayal has taken a political dimension when Boss' oppressive regime does not give room to a conducive political environment.
