-Environmental factors; this is determined by where the participant is situated for example a department.
-Demographic factors; this may include but not limiting to gender and the age of the participant in the information seeking.
-Role-related factor; the position that the participant holds for example the education position such as assistant professor.
-Psychological factors; this is due to the confidence level of the participant on how he/she finds everything throughout the research.
-The method of information collecting also determines the seeking through things such as bibliographic database method collection.
