i) Story telling, stories had good and bad characters and had to choose good characters to be role models.

ii) Sing songs/ traditional dances - songs for ridicule were meant for children who did not do as expected and praise songs for those who were good and did what was expected

iii) Reciting riddles/ poems/ proverbs that had strong moral messages to be passed on.

iv) Playing games - Children learnt to control their emotions/ temper

v) Peer groups - those who went against society code of conduct were shunned by peers.
