Answers

Maurice
(i) Through encouraging soft or green tourism in some areas where the natural vegetation is planted and introduction of animals in the area, for example Bamburi nature trail in Mombasa.

(ii) Through putting warning posters in entry points in parks to warn against dangers of throwing cigarettes remains into dry vegetation which may cause fire outbreaks.

(iii) County governments should ensure that guides leading the tourists in the game reserves drive along marked trails, instead of driving to the areas where there are animals for the tourists to watch at close range.

(iv) County governments should encourage telescopic viewing of animals rather than driving too close to the animals hence interfering with their feeding habits.

(v) The county governments should encourage the use of camping sites instead of building large tourist lodges which destroy wildlife habitats.

(vi) Through creating awareness among the local communities to understand and appreciate nature by visiting game parks and becoming custodians of wildlife.

(vii) By encouraging only a small group of tourists to visit wildlife sanctuaries rather than mass tourism.
