a). STRUCTURAL UNEMPLOYMENT- It is a type of unemployment which occurs when demand for labor declines
due to either changes in the method of production or a decrease in the supply of goods and services
b). CYCLICAL UNEMPLOYMENT- Is a type of unemployment that occurs repeatedly at similar times. In case a
country goes through cycles of economic activities alternating from boom to recession. During boom the level of economic activities is very high resulting to full employment. On other hand, during
recession and depression, demand for goods and services go down leading to unemployment.
c). FRICTIONAL UNEMPLOYMENT- This type of unemployment occurs when people lose jobs and go looking for
new jobs.
d). OPEN/INVOLUNTARY UNEMPLOYMENT- This type of unemployment occurs when people are actively looking for
jobs at the existing wage rates but cannot get them.
e). Disguised/ hidden unemployment- It occurs when the number of people employed exceed
those that are required. It occurs when the workers' capabilities are not fully utilized.
f). ERRATIC/ CASUAL UNEMPLOYMENT- This type of unemployment affects certain occupations such as in the
construction industry.
g). RESIDUAL UNEMPLOYMENT- It may affect people such as those who are mentally or physically challenged.
