i) Credibility.
This refers to the speaker’s competence, dynamism, and trustworthiness. A competent speaker is
prepared and knowledgeable in what he/she is presenting.
ii) Dynamic.
This is about how the speech is presented. You need to show interest and understanding in
whatever you are presenting.
iii) Trustworthy.
The speaker should have goodwill towards the audience. He should have the interest of the
audience at heart. The well being of the audience should come first even if the speaker is giving
a speech to make money.
iv) Ethical.
The speaker while delivering the speech should be guided by moral standards. He should not
distort or fabricate the information. He should give the information even if it’s contrary to his
views but defend his stand-point. An ethical speaker should take care to give credit where it is
due, that is to say if you cite someone else in your speech, you should acknowledge that person.
