This means that those people who live a life of crime leading to death of others who are innocent will meet the same fate. Mulili is one of such people who live by the sword and die by the sword.

Mulili has been portrayed as an oppressive sycophant of the Boss who is ready to do anything to maintain his power and position. He is sent together with Jere to stop the shaving ceremony spearheaded by Doga and Nina at the grave of their slain son Adika. Later Mulili kills the old couple in cold blood inside their hut.

Mulili is behind Jere being put behind bars, this happens after Jere supports the old couple to going on with the shaving ceremony.

Mulili schemes the death of Kabito after he (Kabito)disagrees with him over the awarding of the milk tender to the University. Later, Mulili depicts Kabito as disloyal to Boss, hence his brutal murder by the top government official is planned through a road accident.

Mulili finally betrays Boss at the end when he denies that they are related. He even accuses Boss of being behind the problems that afflict Kafira. He even suggests that Boss should be killed. However, it is Mulili who is eventually killed.

In conclusion it is clearly seen that certain characters like Mulili become victims of brutal death just as he had lived by killing people, thus his death justifies the above saying.
