The church banned Darwin’s teachings because the conflict in Darwin’s days involved many issues.
a) It demoted man’s status by his decent from animal life.
b) The only way early conservative Christians to defend the dignity of man are the divine person of the world was to reject evolution theory in the name of spiritual infallibility.
c) It made people to believe that men have immortal souls which monkeys do not have. If man developed from monkeys, the purpose of Jesus is not fulfilled. He died for man and not monkeys.
d) According to Darwin all the current creation is an evolution- Christianity teaches that all creation came into being all at once at the beginning of creation.
e) The theory excludes God from creation-But the creation accounts tell God created the world in seven days.
