(i) They have enough skills to handle the youth and to communicate with them effectively.

(ii) In some communities it is a taboo for young people to mention parts of the body connected with sex and acts related with it; but the elderly are allowed to mention them.

(iii) They have enough knowledge and experience on the subject.

(iv) They are not shy but free with the children.

(v) They have ample time to be with the children.

(vi) It is a taboo for parents to discuss sexual matters with children in some communities.

(vii) The youth will take the teaching seriously when it is taught by the elderly because they are taught to respect the elders.
