State and explain the two categories of costs incurred in education.

1.Private costs:
These are costs which are met in entirely by an individual beneficiary of the education process and by members of his/her immediate family in purchasing education or additional education. These costs are:- cost of books ,tuition and examination fees, stationary ,uniforms/clothing, catering and accommodation ,transport
2.Social Costs:
Are cost incurred by a society/state/government donor agencies and other interested parties in providing an individual with education/additional education. We have direct and indirect social costs. Example of direct social costs are salaries and allowances of teachers /instructors /lectures ,administrators and support staff; tuition to schools ,grants ,bursaries,scholarship.The indirect social cost like opportunity cost/learning forgone in form of taxes which should otherwise been paid by these people ,uneducated unemployed liability.
