(i) The vine refers to Jesus Christ, the son of God.
(ii) The branches are Christian believers who are united through the vine tree.
(iii) The branches are attached to the vine, just like Christians are attached to Jesus Christ.
(iv) The gardener / vine dresser / or care taker of the vine is God creator.
(v) The fruits are acceptable Christian behaviours such as love for one another .
(vi) The vine (Jesus) therefore links all the branches (Christians) to the vine dresser (God) so, all branches are the same vine tree and have a single caretaker.
(vii) The fruitless branches refer to those unfaithful Christians who do not live up to the Christian standards. Those who will be destroyed God.
(viii) The branches that bear fruits represent faithful Christian.
(ix) Christians must therefore abide by Jesus teachings and love others to be fruitful.
(x) Christians must also remain united in Christ.
(xi) Jesus used vine to show the close relationship between Him and His followers.
