Endemic disease – a disease that is constantly present in a population usually at a steady low frequency e.g. highlands malaria, common cold
Epidemic – a diseases that suddenly increase in occurrence above the normal level in a given population e.g. outbreak of cholera.
Pandemic – an increase in the occurrence of a disease within a large and geographically widespread population
