- A lot of Roman Catholic moral is based on the natural law. Natural law is a way of describing the basic moral law that comes in mind when man thinks about ethical issues.
- Natural ethics to Catholics amounts to what God wants. According to Pope Pius Levi, contraceptives break the natural law as it breaks the rule of conjugal acts. Sex is meant for procreation. By use of contraceptives we frustrate its natural powers.
- According to Paul IV, he argues that procreation is a fundamental human good, any voluntary action that frustrates its intentions is evil.
