Otieno is Jealous of his brother Owour Kembo because he has married a beautiful,industrious wife Akoko whom she treats like a queen while Otieno has married one shiftless wife after another and he treats them as sluts.This makes him miserable when he sees the love between Owuor Kembo and Akoko and has the audacity of accusing Akoko of practicing juok or witchcraft.

Otieno is desperate for leadership.He enthrones himself as a thief and treats people wickedly.He is later dethroned for disregarding the faithful heir to the stool Peter Owour and he suffers a lot of humiliation.He dissolves the council of Jodongo and manipulates the people.Later he suffers a lot of humiliation when he is let down by the people.

Becky is a very beautiful girl but does not appreciate this asset.She becomes jealous of Vera's success.In her en devour to upstage Vera,she tries to enrich herself in promiscuity and finally contracts A.I.DS and dies a miserable woman.

Becky does not support moaral support to her children. She does not offer the rightful parentage but she engages in immorality she disregards her children's needs and they are psychologically affected until they become withdrawn.
