1. ACUTE STRESS
Normal stress in our day to day life comes from a demand and pressure of the recent past and anticipated demands and pressures of the near future.
Symptoms of acute stress
-Emotional distress- a person becomes irritated easily
-Muscular problems- muscle aches
-Stomach and bowl problems- constipation or heartburn
-Transient over arousal- increase in blood pressure

2. EPISODIC ACUTE STRESS
This type of stress refers to frequent acute stress
The victim has;
-Competitive drive
-Aggressiveness
-Impatience
-A high sense of time emergency
-Comes from less worry
-The symptoms care of extended over arousal
SYMPTOMS
-Persistent headache
-Hypertension
-Chest pain
-Heart disease

3. CHRONIC STRESS
Comes when a person never sees a way out of a miserable situation
Some chronic stress come from early childhood experiences
It can lead to death through suicide, heart attack, stroke or cancer

Responses to stress
a) Physiological responses- uncontrollable that occur in the nervous system
b) Behavioral responses- some tend to eat so as to reduce stress
c) Mental reaction to stress
