Medieval period is a portion of European history stretching from the end of the fifth century to the end of the fifteenth century to the end of the fifteenth century. The period is also referred to as the Middle Ages. It came about as a result of the collapse of the Roman Empire in the West. In fact the early part of the period was characterized by plunder, pillage, hopelessness and collapse of the education institutions developed in the Roman Empire
