Every theory of counseling does the following:
-Provides a framework on which to base the counseling approach.
-Provides guidelines to predict and evaluate results.
-Each theory is based on the assumptions which from the basis that helps us to explain behavior, feelings and thoughts
-Each theory gives suggestions on how clients can be helped to lead more fulfilled lives. From the onset it is important to note that no theory is better than the other. Each theory has a different perspective about the nature of man, the view of man, the cause of maladjusted behavior and the role of counselor.
