Biotic factors are biological factors which an organism encounters e.g. plants, animals, micro-organisms, population growth, feeding, reproduction, transpiration, respiration, digestion, movement, etc

Abiotic factors – these are the physical or chemical conditions such as temperature, moisture (water), air (e.g. respiratory gases such as oxygen), and land and soil = substrate
