(ii) The area experiences high temperatures unsuitable for settlement.

(iii) The area receives low/ unreliable rainfall (250 mm-500 mm)/ dry.

(iv) Most parts have scanty vegetation that cannot support livestock.

(v) Some areas are insecure and therefore avoided.

(vi) Some areas have a rugged terrain unsuitable for settlement.
