Violence in the society is a sign of breakdown of the social fabric and a alack of civility. There is no justification for any form of violence like the one that is evident in Betrayal in the city.
The killing of Adika is unwarranted as this was a harmless demonstration. The students were concerned about the high number of expatriates at the university yet Kafira was an independent country that could have its own manpower. This killing amounts to a disproportionate use of force on unarmed civilians of the state.

The killing of Doga and Nina is unfortunate, resulting from their need to rest the spirit of their slain son.The shaving ceremony was only a traditional ceremony and had no political significance. It was there fore decided that someone should eliminate them.Their death brings to force the ruthless nature of a regime that is just too keen on oppressing the citizens .Even if Chagaga is guilty for the death of Adika,it is not right for Jusper to take law in his hands. His act of confessing in public makes the people to stone him. This is another instance of violence since it involves the people taking the law in their hands.Violence of this nature is unacceptable in a civilized society.
There are no justifications for any leader to show violence among his people. It shows lack of fairness on the governments side.
