i) Emotions are a complex set of behaviour/ feelings in response to internal/ external stimuli, which motivate/ direct thoughts/ actions/ overt behaviour.

Emotions entail feelings or reactions inside ourselves as we respond to the world. Feelings are affected by what we see, hear, touch, smell taste and think about. Coping with emotions can be understood to mean managing feelings or reactions that arise from inside from time to time, especially bad feelings after facing abuse (i.e. being angry, annoyed, irritated, frustrated, furious bitter, jealous and offended). If one does not know how to cope with emotions one can end up being afraid, worried, terrified, nervous, shy, anxious, uncertain, and feeling embarrassed. Although life skills contribute to the ability to cope with emotions, learning to express emotion that do not hurt others is good step in building self-esteem by what we see, hear, touch, smell taste and think about.

Emotions are strong reflections of what we are. Thus, identifying and then coping with emotions implies that people can recognize their emotions and the reasons for them and make decisions which take account of but are not overly influenced by them
