It is defined as an increase in agricultural production and /or the productivity of land, labor and capital in agriculture. This is achieved through the use modern technology in agriculture such as;
- Mechanization.
- Use of fertilizer.
- Higher yielding varieties.
- More efficient pest diseases control measures.
- Proper farm practices e.g land preparation, planting, weeding, harvesting, storage
- Better livestock breeds and better management practices.
