Kenya has had a number of regimes in power since 1963 when it got independence. However, these regimes have experienced several challenges and problems as explained below:
Corruption. The Kenyan government has reported several cases of misappropriation of public funds where individuals take money for self benefits. For instance, the cases like ;Euro- bond,National Youth Service scandal, just to name a few cases have been experienced in Kenya.
Political assassinations.Kenya has also reported so many deaths in line with political ideologies.people like; Tom Mboya, J.M Kariuki and others were killed due to their political stand and differences.
Land grabbing.Senior political leader have been seen taking people's land and farms at the expense of their political Power. So many lands have been grabbed and taken by a few individuals without following legal procedures.
Political violence. Some incidences such of that of 2007/2008 and that of 2017 have remained fresh in people's minds up to date. People fights basing their arquments on tribal perspective.
Injustice and poor judicial system. This has been seen from different cases that have been continuously plotted in Kenya but unfortunately filling is always made in favour of the "haves" or rather the rich people. it's so unfortunate that judges and law makers prefer taking bribes.
Increased levels of tribal feuds. Some Kenyan communities have been continuously involved in internal rivalry or fighting which leaves people loosing their lives as time goes.
