1.Craft unions: The employees practice the same skills and businesses, such as carpenters, transport and engineering workers, municipal workers, electricians, plumbers and many others who fit in this category.
2.Industrial unions: workers within a given industry irrespective of their craft or occupation such as mine workers.
3.Staff unions: these are non blue collar workers such as scientific associations, technical and managerial staff, professional associations, - pilots, teachers, tutors, lecturers, executives, IT staff, civil servants and technical and supervisory staff.
4.General unions: Compose of semiskilled and unskilled workers entities such as transport and matatu associations for drivers, household worker, railway workers, petrol station attendants etc.
