(i) Jesus stood on the shores of the Lake of Gennesaret with many people pressing around Him.

(ii) He saw two boats close to the shore and got into one of them which belonged to Simon.

(iii) He taught the people from this boat.

(iv) After He had finished preaching, He asked Simon to cast the nets into the deep sea for a catch of fish.

(v) Simon initially declined arguing that they had toiled the whole night and caught nothing.

(vi) Simon eventually agreed to cast the nests into the sea thus catching a huge shoal of fish that their nets began to tear.

(vii) Simon and his companion signaled to the other two partners to come and assist them.

(viii) The four were so moved by the miraculous catch of fish that Simon fell on his knees before Jesus and begged Him to leave.

(ix) Simon confessed that he was a sinful man.

(x) Jesus told Simon not to be afraid for from that time onwards, he would be catching men.

(xi) The other companions who were with Simon Peter were Andrew, his brother and the two sons of Zebedee, James and John.
They left everything and followed Jesus.
